Exactix v4.1.42 Release – Key Changes & Q&A (Members)
What is changing?
Exactix version 4.1.42 includes updates that improve response visibility, attachment processing, ticket access, and damage ticket notifications for Facility Owner/Operator Members. These enhancements are designed to make required actions easier to identify and improve the overall response workflow.
Why this change?
These updates help Members identify tickets requiring action more easily, improve attachment processing reliability, and streamline access to ticket information.
Key Functional Changes
1. Improved Service Area Dashboard Visibility
The Response Due and Past Due sections of My Service Areas Tickets will now display tickets that still require a response and/or an attachment. This makes it easier to identify tickets needing action before they become overdue.
2. SaveResponse API Documentation Updated to Reflect Attachment File Name Character Limit
SaveResponse API documentation has been updated to reflect the existing 200-character file name limit for attachments. This requirement has always been in place and is now documented more clearly to support consistent file processing and help prevent submission issues.
3. Positive Response Confirmation Emails for Damage Tickets
The Response Due Date for Damage Tickets will now align with the Locate By Date. This change supports Positive Response Status Email Confirmations for Damage Tickets and creates more consistent timing for responses. Emergency & Damage tickets do not generate late notices.
4. Business-Hour Damage Ticket Callout Improvements
Manual or automated Damage Ticket callouts will no longer be sent during business hours when the service area's listed facility types do not include the damaged utility type. This helps reduce unnecessary notifications.
5. Enhanced View Ticket Access
When a user opens a View Ticket link, Exactix will first determine whether the user is logged in and authorized to view the ticket. Authorized users may be directed to the full ticket details page, while unauthorized users will continue to see the limited public view.
Questions & Answers
Q: What tickets will appear in Response Due and Past Due?
Tickets requiring a response and/or supporting attachment will now be displayed in those dashboard sections to improve visibility and follow-up.
Q: Will this affect older tickets?
Possibly. Older damage and emergency tickets may appear if a response was never posted, since those ticket types do not generate late notices.
Q: What happens if an attachment file name exceeds 200 characters?
The file name may need to be shortened before submission through the SaveResponse API.
Q: Why are Damage Ticket response dates changing?
The Response Due Date will align with the Locate By Date, creating a more consistent timeline for ticket response management.
Q: Will View Ticket links work differently?
Yes. Authorized, logged-in users may be routed directly to full ticket details instead of the anonymous public view.
Q: Why am I receiving fewer Damage Ticket callouts?
If the service area does not include the damaged utility type, business-hour callouts will no longer be generated.
